01 — Heritage
The roots of the Meurer ironworks lie in 19th-century Saxony, with origins in 1871 — the Eisenwerk G. Meurer at Cossebaude near Dresden grew into an industrial business. From 1909, gas cookers, stoves and heating appliances were offered under the MEURER PROMETHEUS brand name.
Historic catalogues, advertisements and surviving appliances document this industrial tradition. Technologies change; the need for reliable warmth remains. MEURER PROMETHEUS connects the memory of a distinguished German heating brand with the vision of modern, efficient and intelligent energy systems — without implying uninterrupted business operation.
02 — New perspectives
Three product worlds form the foundation of the brand vision, in an Architectural Premium design direction: Heat Pumps — modern air-to-water heat pumps as the lead product; Hot Water & Storage — hot water cylinders, buffer tanks and heat pump water heaters; Smart Energy Control — intelligent controls, energy management and connected heating systems. MEURER PROMETHEUS offers international manufacturers, investors and licensees a historically grounded German brand for heating, heat and energy technology.
